Is eScrip the same as Scrip?
No, these are not the same programs. Scrip is purchasing gift cards or certificates in advance of your need for them. With Scrip, SSPP realizes our profit as soon as you purchase the gift cards/certificates. The eScrip program allows merchants to provide contributions to SSPP based on your purchases after you have completed your shopping.
How does eScrip work?
A supporter (that’s you!) registers any or all of their debit, credit or grocery cards (ex. Safeway Club Card) for use in the program. You can decide what cards you want to register based on the stores you shop at. When you shop at a participating merchant, use your registered credit, debit or grocery card when making your purchase. Participating merchants make contributions through eScrip to Saints Peter and Paul School, based on purchases you make.
I'm buying scrip - should I sign up for eScrip too?
Absolutely! The bulk of the eScrip contributions come from Safeway, which currently is not offering paper scrip. If you do some of your grocery shopping at Safeway, it would be worth registering for eScrip. There are dozens of participating merchants in the eScrip program besides Safeway. Many merchants participate in both eScrip and scrip. When you don’t have scrip on hand, SSPP can still receive a contribution for your purchase if you use eScrip.
How will I know this is working?
You can see the contributions your spending has generated by accessing your account at www.escrip.com.
Do I have to pay anything to use eScrip?
eScrip is free to supporters, all you need to do is register. Please encourage your FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO-WORKERS, PARISH MEMBERS and anyone else you can think of to join the eScrip program and help our school.
How do I register?
The best way is to register via eScrip’s SECURE website at www.escrip.com. (our School Account number is 140829054). Any ATM, Debit, Credit or Grocery card can be registered and/or updated via this website.
