First Grade Supply List for 2011-2012

  • 4 pocket folders … horizontal pockets, assorted colors … please write the student’s name on the inside of each folder
  • 1 black Mead composition book … 100 pages, wide ruled, 9¾” x 7½”
  • 1 cloth or sturdy soft plastic pencil case with zipper … no boxes; the case must be large enough to fit one box of crayons
  • 20 sharpened, #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils or fancy designs)
  • 2 pink bevel erasers
  • 3 packages of white construction paper, 12” x 18” … unbounded, individual sheets
  • 2 packages of assorted color construction paper, 9” x 12” … unbound, individual sheets
  • 1 box set of Crayola Crayons … 24 count … please reinforce the bottom of the box with masking tape; the student will be asked to bring in 1 new box set of crayons at the start of each quarter (the start of each new report card period) for a total of 4 for the school year
  • 1 box set of Crayola Washable Water Colors … 8 colors with brush
  • 1 pair of scissors … Fiskars, 5” blunt point
  • 1 4 oz. plastic bottle of Elmer’s white glue (School Glue or Glue All) with easy flow cap
  • 4 .21 oz of Elmer’s glue sticks … the student will be asked to bring in 2 new glue sticks at the start of each quarter for a total of 10 for the school year
  • 1 children’s dictionary to be available at home
  • 1 pop-up tub of baby wipes
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex tissues
  • 1 emergency backpack containing a complete set of extra clothes, 6 granola/protein bars, a book, and a toy. Please label the student’s name on the outside and on the bottom of the backpack.
